Service Description

This qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their fire safety awareness to help ensure that they are keeping themselves and others safe at all times in the workplace. The qualification and learning outcomes are based on National Occupational Standards (NOS) related to fire safety awareness and recommendation of good practice outlined by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Outline programme learners will cover basic fire safety principles, including: • causes of fires in the workplace • basic fire safety duties and responsibilities • principles of fire risk control • safe use of portable fire-fighting equipment Who should attend? The Fire Safety Awareness course is designed as an introductory qualification for people who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace or for new starters as part of the induction process. Qualification information: Successful learners will receive a personalised Fire Safety Awareness e-Certificate. Printed certificates are available at an additional cost. Where and when the course will be held: The courses are held at your premises on a convenient date for your staff or at our premises in Essex.
